Angry, Upset, and disapointed. That ending just hurt

*goes to floor and crys in anquish*

Apart from the end, that story was well writen, loved the descriptions and scene with lupin and draco, god he must of been gutted.

by the time I stop crying I won't be able to open my eyes from all the rubbing. That ending was so heart-breaking but I loved the story anyways /sigh*

Oh my god. I'm absolutely devastated. I found this fic via Painless-J's recs, and she warned that it wasn't a happy story, so I thought I was coming into it prepared. But I couldn't help it I still kept hoping for a happy ending for Draco. I wanted Snape to survive. I wanted Harry to save Draco. But you didn't pull any punches.

And you wrote him SO quintessentially Draco. It all rang true. It'll tear my heart out again, but I know I'll read this again and again. It was so beautifully written and everyone was in character. No quibbles whatsoever. Thank you so much for sharing.

Well.... my throat hurts from holding back my tears at the end so I could finish...
Heck, wish you had pulled some punches. T-T I'm devastated that I can't find an amazing story like this with a amazingly happy ending. No death, suicide, separate lives, secrets, or regrets. *sighs*
Tries to dream of an alternate ending. ^-^ But the story is very good. Just sad. Oh and I've had maddening hate for Ginny since....book 2! *death wishes upon her* Strike her down dead or senseless.

i totally agree with you. angst with a happy ending is the best! although this is a truly remarkable story, i'd still want an alternate happy ending.

My god. Just...my god. This fic was so resoundingly beautiful. I'm shaking. I'm crying. My heart hurts. This fic completely destroyed me. I hurt. I think I'll cry a little more. You wrote it in such a way that affected the reader deeply, and I salute you for that rare, priceless skill. I can only hope that one day I can somehow scrounge up just a smidgen of what emotion you've accomplished in this.

Just...wow. You fabulous creature, now I have to get a Kleenex.

My God...I've never read anything so touchingly tragic. I can't even hold back the tears and I should have been asleep hours ago but how could I stop anywhere in the middle of this? I HATE sad endings...and I could see this would have one from the beginning but the story just sucked me in and wouldn't let go. I hope you're proud of yourself! You've written something absolutely stunning...and downright traumatic, a combination most people couldn't even dream of. Just...wow.

I've read a lot of Harry/Draco stories, even written a few, but this one must be considered a classic in my opinion. Thank you for writing and posting this one.

Holy shit. This story amazing. I valiantly kept it together for the entire thing -barely, but the epilogue just...absolutely killed me.
Beautiful.

I am going to send this one to my fellow Drarry shippers.

I was absolutely mesmerized by this story. It's beautiful, unique (the first person narrative was genius, I NEED more now), and in a way heartwrenchingly touching. There is a lot of fanfiction out there, but I know that this is one that will remain in my mind for a long time to come.
Thank you for writing this. I loved it.

First thing I look at before reading a fic is it's ending. And if there's something that indicates it has no happy-end, I usually just don't read it. But in this case, I started to read firt paragraphs and then I just clouldn't tear my eyes away. It reminded me of one of my most favourites books - there's first person narrative, sort of a memoir of a "bad guy", too. I felt for said person a I understood his motives behind all those bad things he did. However, in this case, in Draco's case, my feeling for him was more intense - because he really was good at his heart.
I can't take off my minf how he actually liked Lupin, or how much he cared for those he truly loved, for Snape, his family, for Harry.
The ending made me sad. Draco, all those years in prison with nothing to do but thinking about himself, while Harry has own happy life in which Draco is just sad memory. I hope I will stop crying sometime soon.
